The project followed the established standardization procedure and adhered to current laws, regulations, and mandatory standards. All submitted documents were complete and formatted in accordance with the required guidelines. The "Agglomeration Spinning Device," which meets domestic advanced standards, was recently approved in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, as a recommended textile industry standard—specifically for compact spinning technology. The certification meeting for the "Agglomeration Spinning Device" standard was chaired by the Technical Committee for Standardization of Spinning and Dyeing and Finishing Machinery under the National Textile Machinery and Accessories Standardization Technical Committee. The meeting unanimously approved the standard, and the working group is now tasked with incorporating the feedback from the meeting, revising the document accordingly, and submitting it through the proper channels for final publication in the textile industry. Experts note that agglomeration spinning is an innovative spinning technology. Chinese textile professionals have continuously innovated by building upon foreign advanced technologies. Today, China has achieved mass production and application of agglomeration spinning devices featuring its own unique characteristics and independent intellectual property. These devices have become an essential method for improving the quality of yarn produced by ring spinning machines. In line with the requirements of the National Development and Reform Commission's Office of Industry [2006] No. 1093, the Jiangsu Wuxi Textile Machinery Research Institute was responsible for developing the industry standard for the "Agglomeration Spinning Device." Determining the yarn quality criteria for agglomeration spinning in the standard to suit China’s specific conditions and meet user needs is a key challenge in the development of this standard. First, based on the newly released F/T 12018-2009 "Composited Cotton Tight Yarn" standard, the standard outlines the quality requirements for combed cotton yarns. It also incorporates evaluation indicators based on user assessments of older machine performance, ensuring the standard remains advanced, practical, and easy to implement. Secondly, the "requirements" section of the standard includes not only comprehensive quality criteria for vacuum-type agglomeration spinning devices but also specific technical requirements that differ from those of traditional ring spinning machine components. Emphasis is placed on the importance of the negative pressure system, including control requirements for component quality and the negative pressure fan. This ensures the overall quality of the assembly spinning device. Additionally, the standard incorporates quality requirements for key parts of China's mechanical agglomeration spinning machines. Thirdly, during the "Industrial Standards Symposium for Agglomeration Spinning Devices," participants ultimately decided that the standard should focus solely on the agglomeration spinning device itself and not include the entire machine. However, in the upcoming revision of the cotton spinning ring spinning machine industry standard, the agglomeration spinning process will be included as an important part of the update. Thus, this standard formulation has laid a solid foundation for revising the cotton spinning ring spinning machine standard and has created the conditions for enhancing the technical level of China's cotton spinning ring spinning machines.
