Composite conductive fiber is a new type of antistatic material. It can be processed into various long-acting antistatic and dustproof garments and textiles by blending or interlacing with other fibers such as wool, cotton and chemical fiber. At the same time, the fiber can also be added to the processing of the nonwoven fabric to form a filter bag for preventing dust accumulation, and has a wide range of applications. However, due to the high technical difficulty and complicated processing technology, the fiber variety can only rely heavily on imports for a long time in China.
In order to meet this need, Beijing Zhongfang Yousi Special Fiber Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Textile Science Research Institute, has established the first composite conductive staple fiber production line in China based on the independent research and design center of China Textile Institute. The production line was completed and installed at the end of August 2005. It was put into production in early September and the annual production capacity can reach more than 150 tons. The production line uses the composite conductive fiber technology developed by the China Textile Research Institute R&D Center to produce carbon black type conductive fibers. It has excellent electrical conductivity, surface resistivity of 107-109 Ω·cm, and stable quality. By adding carbon black-type conductive component to nylon fiber, it imparts long-lasting antistatic properties to the fiber. It can be used in the production and processing of wool, garments and carpets to meet the needs of anti-static and dust-proof in the domestic military, petrochemical, electronics and other industries. The price is significantly lower than that of similar foreign products.
According to reports, Zhongfang Yousi Company is currently the largest conductive fiber production base in China, and its product quality has been recognized by many domestic users. In addition to staple fiber, it can produce 100 tons of composite conductive filaments per year to meet the needs of different applications. At present, the Research Center of China Textile Science Research Institute is actively researching and developing white polyester-based key fiber, and it is expected that the product will soon be available. On the basis of actively expanding the application field of conductive fibers, China Textile Science Research Institute can also provide services for the development of conductive fabrics, laying the foundation for the comprehensive localization of conductive products.
