EU issued a consumer warning on China's baby shoes

On July 26, 2013, the European Commission's non-food quick warning system issued a consumer warning to Chinese-made "Sterntaler" baby shoes.

The country notified in this case was Germany. The baby shoes notified here are a pink leather upper (without pattern) and a light grey suede sole; the model/model number is Item 55050 with a color of 700, the bar code is 2085555517700, and the OECD Portal Category. It is 63 million (footwear products).

The reason for the warning is that the baby shoe sole leather contains 7.3 mg/kg of chromium, which is a chemical hazard.

At present, importers/distributors have taken measures to withdraw from the market for this product.

For this reason, it is recommended that domestic production and exporting enterprises attach great importance to this.
